My RI Life: Summer Favs With The Marvelous Madalyn Tundis

I am a 23 year old native Rhode Islander, born and raised in Cranston. After spending a few years traveling around and living in different cities, nothing feels quite like home like the Ocean State.  The places I hold closest to my heart are Cranston and Providence, where I grew up, and Narragansett, where I summer. I also have a passion for wellness - I love food that is as good for my health as it is my taste buds!

Bonnet Shores holds a special place in my heart as my family has always spent our summer vacations in the sand. As an adult, I try to hit the beach any weekend I can! Nothing wraps up a great beach day like a trip to Twin Willows for a lobster roll and an ice cold beer. Follow it up with a scoop of Brickley's coffee chip ice cream and I am one happy beach'er!

I love Newport and all of it's glory. A cute little island where history meets modern arts and trends is a great place to summer in RI. Diego's is a must!

For anyone who loves great seafood, the Matunuck Oyster Bar in SK tops the charts. The oysters are served right from the farm behind the restaurant - talk about local!

When I'm not worshipping the sun in South County, I love to walk around the East Side of Providence. India Point Park is my favorite spot with an awesome view of the city. Wickenden Street is one block over and houses some of my favorites like The Duck & Bunny and Sakura.
