Coffee, Pancakes & Conversation: Breakfast Palooza In PVD

Feelin less than groovy because everyone you know was whopping it up at, and uploading pics from, #pvdfest this past weekend and you missed out?

Well, cheer up buttercup 'cause you're not alone. As a matter of fact, I know someone who just happened to be home last Saturday night with only the washer/dryer and On Demand reruns of Southern Charm (My fav quote so far this season? Can't stop repeating Shep's "It's so easy to take the high road.") and Rich Kids of Beverly Hills (For the record, I think Morgan's wedding look with that lace crop top was a total misstep.). On a brighter note, however, I did stumble (literally) across a sunny, new spot for breakfast, lunch, and din din in downtown PVD.

On our way to somewhere Fancy with a capital F (Hopefully Open Table and the originally intended restaurant don't flag my account for being a no show.), we walked past Nico Bella's (Think it used to be Eddy's? Correct me if I'm wrong. No, really, please do.), at 74 Dorrance, and the hubs insisted we try it. Being the easy going and low key gal that I am (NOT! Lolz), I acquiesced.

Turns out, his instincts were spot on. Nico B's was bustling with people - Some, I'm guessing, probably nursing hangovers from the night before at said Fest - talking, laughing, and chowing done on various breakfast meals. We liked the energy, the casual, diner vibe, and most importantly, our coffee and food. I had two mugs of coffee, pancakes, and a fried egg side. He had the classic scrambled, toast, and home. It was delicious, def not greasy (Hooray!), and served pretty darn quickly (Uhhh, two words - pleasantly surprised.). They're also open 7 days a week, so if you wanted to give them a try today, you could.

Ciao for Now,

Patty J
