3 Amazing Airbnb's On Block Island For A Spring Or Summer Staycation That'll Def Spark Joy

See this content in the original post

So many snow related photos in my feeds this morning! Once everyone’s done digging out from February’s last hurrah (I mean, February IS after all synonymous with crummy weather, especially in our neck of the woods), it’ll be time to start planning those spring and summer holidays.

If you’re thinking about staying local and (possibly) enjoying one or more of the options available on Airbnb, here are three absolutely incredible properties located on Block Island (which the NY Times famously dubbed “the new Martha’s Vineyard” not long ago) to consider, that will elevate your time off into something epic.

Modern Love

First off I totally see a celeb or two (Here’s looking at Catherine Zeta and Michael Douglas who have a new connection to RI…) reserving this sleek, ultra modern house that looks as though it should be featured in AD (that’s the rebranded Architectural Digest) in New Shoreham (technically the tiniest town in the smallest state, in case you were wondering), BI that sleeps 7. This 4 bed and 2.5 bath stunner on the Mohegan Bluffs is ideal for a relaxing getaway for you and 5 or 6 of either your closest friends or your fav family members. With plenty of natural light and ocean views it’s also perf for taking mad amounts of photos for Instagram and Stories - because what good is staying in a gorgeous house if you can’t humble brag about it on social? Staycation Goals Right Here

If you’re a fan of ocean views, but want something a little more traditional, this updated farmhouse (also in New Shoreham) is just what the you need for having your best time on Block Island in 2019. This 3 bedroom and 2.5 bathroom retreat that sleeps up to ten also boosts a wrap around porch (from which you can check out a variety of farm and exotic animals that call the property home), a yoga studio, and a short-ish walk from the ferry and to restaurants in town. (It sorta reminds me of a Rhody version of Nicole Kidman’s Aussie farm, where Conde Nast/Vogue filmed their 73 Questions interview with her back in 2015.) More deets here.

Stay Salty

Whether you want to start (or finish) that Great American novel you’ve been meaning to get to (raise your hand if you’re excited about the new season of Younger, which some have described as “the Gossip Girl of the publishing industry”), you need a break from your everyday grind, or you’re hiding out from the paparazzi, Saltbox on The Block has your name written all over it. This 4 bedroom and 2 bath renovated cottage in secluded section of NS features water views, a second story deck with a grill for al fresco dining, an outdoor shower, and an interior spiral staircase.
