2 Stylish Spots For Coffee If You're Going To The Camp Exhibit At The Met This Summer

See this content in the original post

Thinking of traveling to New York City this summer to see the Camp: Notes On Fashion exhibit at The MET? (We were there yesterday and noticed that the Gucci-related merchandise in the gift shop is going fast…just throwing that out there.)

Well, you’ll probably also want to check out these restaurants and cafes where the worlds of food and fash-un (no, that’s not a typo…although my keyboard is giving me grief lately) collide.

Over the holidays when we were in the City last, we had a late breakfast at Sant Ambroeus (their Madison Avenue location) and happened upon Derek Blasberg (now doing the fashion thing at YouTube, formerly a high profile editor at Conde Nast) holding court in the back room and his bestie Karlie Kloss, La Perla bag in hand, in the front chatting away with someone I didn’t recognize. Also, for the record, Lenny Kravitz, Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford, and Yoko Ono are all fans of SA.

So, if (like me) you’re a style, pop culture, and excellent food enthusiast, you’ll want to add Sant Ambroeus to your brekkie or lunch itinerary next time you’re in NYC.

 And…Ralph’s Coffee too!

You might recognize the space at 888 Madison as the place where Ralph & Company hosted their February 2019 NY Fashion Week Show. The audience was a veritable who’s who of the Big Apple’s glitterati set, with so many familiar faces - from the worlds of Instagram superstardom and beyond - seated at the cafe tables to view his latest looks. And the clothes were jaw droppingly gorg(eous)! (I’ll take one of each, please.)

The Sidewalk Out In Front Of 888 Madison

Yes, 888 Madison is the ideal spot for a leisurely cuppa coffee, a pastry, and a few photos for IG because why not? The coffee shop area is adorable, bright, and tailor made for social media snaps. Hopefully you have someone along with a new-ish I-Phone (and camera) who’s willing to take a bunch of photos of you without any eye rolling or drama.

And you can pick up souvenirs for you or any of the RL aficionados in your life: there are t-shirts, coffee cups and mugs, and even cute little espresso cups for that friend who studied abroad in high school or college and continues to drink the stuff exclusively.
