Before social media (and posting food photos) was a thing, there was Seven Stars Bakery, which after opening their first location on Hope Street in Providence in 2001, went on to become known as the premier Rhody destination for made-from-scrach baked goods and outstanding (locally roasted) coffee.

Whether you now upload photos of the latte art or your go-to baked good (Ginger biscuits for the win!) from one of their three cafes on the reg or not, I think we can all agree that their pastries, breads, and coffees are top notch. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan sandwich on their menu when I popped in to the Broadway PVD location for a quick lunch a few months ago.

Their shops are also super for in-person catch-ups with friends, business meet-ups , or just indulging in a delicious treat or two as needed.

The phenomenal news is that they are indeed opening their fourth location on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston this Fall (There were whispers, and when I first heard, I honestly wasn’t sure if it was legit happening or just some gossip floating around the ‘920.), and it’s just what everyone in the vicinity needs right now…even if they don’t know it yet.

I mean, I can already see crowds of people from Budlong, Dean Parkway, Meshanticut, & beyond flocking there for breakfast, lunch, and coffee chats: Bring on the Maple Lattes, Corn Bread, & Pumpkin Muffins!

So, the space (that’s only a stone’s throw from Garden City Center) is being readied as we speak…it’s a space that’s undergone a number of changes over these last few years, but something tells me that this one’s gonna stick.

*The newest Seven Stars at 1455 Reservoir Avenue in Cranston is scheduled to open this Fall. Stay tuned.
