Meet The Mother Daughter Team Bringing Posh Picnics To Rhode Island This Summer

See this content in the original post

We were dazzled by “The Newport” set-up that the ladies behind Premier Picnics treated us to last week at Fort Adams State Park.

Today we’re sharing details about how they got started, some of their local Rhode Island favorites, and how you can experience one of their posh picnics (with a percentage off because you’re a Patty J reader) this season.

Premier Picnics is a mother-daughter duo bringing Luxury Picnic Pop-Ups to Rhode Island!

Together they decided to jump on the burgeoning trend of luxury picnics that arose from the need for social distancing during the pandemic. With Alexandra’s background in design and photography, and Elizabeth’s experience with small gathering and intimate party planning, they have been able to curate a series of luxurious picnic vignettes for guests to enjoy on any special occasion.

RI Favorites: Restaurants

When they are not designing new experiences or scouting locations for their next pop-up, Alexandra + Elizabeth can be found enjoying some of Rhode Island’s best restaurants. Together they enjoy having a glass of wine on the rooftop at Mare in Providence or sharing a pizza at Fellini’s in Cranston.

RI Favorites: Outdoor Spots

Though Alexandra now calls Providence her home, she still enjoys taking a stroll at Chase Farm with her dog in her hometown of Lincoln, RI.

Elizabeth enjoys the natural beauty in her backyard in Lincoln, or the Blackstone Valley Bike Path where one can spot wildlife such as wild turkeys, deer and fish jumping in the canal.

RI Favorite: Brunch

Alexandra and her boyfriend enjoy walking to Julian’s on Broadway to enjoy the many vegetarian brunch options on their menu. Not only is the food delicious, but they get to people-watch in the outdoor seating area.

Elizabeth and her husband enjoy grabbing a coffee and fresh baked items from Phantom Farms in Cumberland while sitting on the deck overlooking the apple orchard. It’s also a great location to pick up flowers for planting in the Spring and pumpkins and corn stalks in the Fall.

RI Favorite: Shopping

NAVA on Wickenden Street has it all! From home decor, to jewelry, to soaps and perfumes. They especially love to go there to find gifts for friends, because they know they’ll always find something special.

Premier Picnic Favorites:

The Washington was their first complete set-up, and it was inspired by a spring garden soiree. Not only does Alexandra love the final vignette, but the memory of the first time they set up at Chase Farm in Lincoln to see their ideas come to life!

Elizabeth’s favorite is The Newport with it’s beachy inspiration. Living in RI most of her life, she feels fortunate to be able to enjoy our beautiful beaches along the Southern RI coast and loves that she’s reminded of them each time they set this up!

To book with Premier Picnics, visit their website and submit a booking request. In addition to a luxury set-up which includes all of the decor and dinnerware, comfortable floor seating, and a fresh flower arrangement by Elizabeth, you can also choose add-ons to enhance the overall experience, such as charcuterie boards, desserts, party packages, beach tents, or a photography session with Alexandra!

June and July are almost full, so if you are looking to celebrate an upcoming special occasion, the sooner you book the better!
