The Wickford Village Pizza Place Where We Had The Most Delicious Pies

Life Is Not About Finding Yourself, It’s About Finding (GREAT) PIzza

Okay, I’ll fess up.

I have my perrennial favorites in Wickford (been blogging about that adorable little village in NK since the first summer of this site, back in 2015) and had up until now always dismissed The Place on Brown Street for whatever reason.

Maybe the exterior wasn’t Insta Worthy enough, who knows? (Superficial? Sure, you bet. Also, by the way, they don’t have social media or a site of their own. Now, that’s textbook old school.)

Well, one of my good friends and I had pizza there recently and it was one of the yummiest ones I’ve eaten in recent memory. (See the 1st photo below.)

The guy behind the counter cooks everything to order and he brought our white veggie to the table steaming hot. Steam was indeed coming off of it. You just don’t see that anymore and I mean THAT in the best possible way.

Once the pie cooled, it was so absolutely FANTASTIC !!!

The thin crust was just crunchy enough — I also know that it was VERY good because my friend ordered another one to take home to her husband for dinner and she is a tough customer to win over.

Now this place is decidedly NOT fancy, the furthest thing from it, but that’s fine by me. (Again, check out the photos below ⬇️.)

Also, whilst we were sitting there, a steady stream of locals kept making their way in to this unfussy operation (with maybe 4 or 5 tables inside) to order takeout pies, grinders, and whatnot.

In addition to their pizzas and sandwiches, regulars rave about their mozz sticks, wings, and burgers at this casual and under-the-radar gem.

Find The Place at 95 Brown Street in Historic Wickford Village (NK, RI). They are open Tuesdays thru Thursdays from 3 to 9pm, Fridays and Saturdays 11am to 10pm, and closed on Sundays and Mondays.

As always, if you make a pizza run over after reading THIS, please do let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.

Correction: You CAN find The Place on Facebook!
