The Wonderful Cafe And Adjacent Book Shop In Wakefield, Rhode Island

See this content in the original post

If you haven’t been to Wakefield in a bit, I’m pretty sure these two (neighboring) businesses on Main Street are going to bring you back.

Let’s start with Rarities Books & Bindery at 396 Main Street, a bibliophile’s dream.

There’s a nice selection of antique books (and it doesn’t smell at all musty in case you were wondering) as well as comfy reading nooks, even one with an electric fireplace.

Also, new books, including an impressive selection of ones about Lil Rhody, and some fantastic locally crafted gift items like wicks and wax from Coventry Candle Company.

As if all that wasn’t enough, Rarities offers repair and binding services. I mean, who else is doing that nowadays?

When you’re done browsing and paying for your picks, you can walk thru the side door and into (cue the dream-y music) Caf Bar next door for a latte, hot tea, or smoothie.

I for one can’t wait to go back!

Adore this light filled and cheerful cafe for a quick lunch (love their salads, avo toasts, and sweets) or hot drink — and I hear they’re started opening a few nights a week (Thursday thru Saturday) for cocktails, mocktails, bites, and music which sounds amazing.

Find Rarities and Caf at 396 Main Street in Wakefield. Check their sites for current hours of operation and other updates.

Other Faves In The Vicinity Include Greenline Apothecary (of course!) And Pink Pineapple (apparel and accessories…their cotton sweaters are top shelf).

As always if you are inspired to visit any of these places after reading this, please let them you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
