The Providence Biscuits That Have People Lining Up Down The Street

Sunday In Providence

We were in line on Sunday morning for DAY 2 of the grand opening of the NEW Irregardless Biscuit storefront on Carpenter Street (where Kitchen used to be…you may recall the John Cougar Mellencamp & Meg Ryan were spotted have breakfast there back in 2016 when he played PPAC) in Providence.

As the time ticked on, folks driving by were slowing down, peering at those of us in line with wide eyes, and even shouting out cheeky questions like “Is this a line for Taylor Swift tix?”

Well, I, for one, think TS would love these biscuits. Ditto re: Travis Kelce, Blake Lively, and Jeff Goldblum (he was spotted at the Super Bowl too, ya know).

We got their biscuits with butter and hot honey as well as the ones with strawberry butter. They practically melt in your mouth.

Everyone else around us seemed to be ordering theirs with extra gravy. The egg versions were also selling like hot cakes the other day.

They were also giving out these amazingly delish coffee-flavored cookies.

I mean, when was the last time we saw this kind of food-related excitement in RI?

Yep, it’s been a while. (The back story is that they started as a pop-up in the Tailor Shop next door to Broadway Bistro. You may remember a post I wrote during the winter of 2022-2023 about that pop-up.)

I suggest planning out an outfit that includes comfy footwear and picking a day this coming weekend to G-O.

They are open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9am to 3pm.

Also, and this is pretty important, you’re going to want to get there early. Before 9am if possible. Maybe a set up a lawn chair at 8:30am? We arrived at 9:30 and the line was already snaking down the street.

They were sold out by 11 after baking up something like 400 biscuits, so don’t sleep in if you want to get in on this experience.

Find Irregardless Biscuit at 94 Carpenter Street in Providence, Rhode Island.
