This New Restaurant Is Bringing A Bit Of Paris To Providence & We Louvre It!
Looking for a new breakfast, lunch or dinner place? Of course you are! I mean, I get people DM’ing me on Facebook and Instagram all the time, asking for restaurant recommendations. (What am I, the restaurant whisperer??!)
Yesterday morning we motored over to the brand new Ellie’s at 225 Weybosset in Providence and it was in a word enchanting! Speciality coffee and teas. Scrumptious, made from scratch breakfast pastries. All in a pretty, Instagram worthy interior - with a Parisian inspired vibe. (See photo below.) Channel your inner Jane Birkin or Charlotte Gainsbourg over a flaky croissant or cafe au lait - without having to cash in one single frequent flier mile (wink, wink).
The new location, directly across from PPAC, also features expanded offerings. In other words, unlike the original space on Washington (which btw is only temporarily closed for renovations), they reopen at night for dinner and drinks. And I can totally see lots of people flocking there for supper before checking out a show across the street. It’s also a dreamy spot for date night cocktails and a bite with your SO. Or a Thursday nite with that friend who hasn’t been to dinner in the city in eons.
