We’ve done the Rhody vineyard thing (from Sakonnet in Little Compton and Diamond Hill in Cumberland to Verde Vineyards in Johnston) over the years, but somehow missed out on this place…until now.

Leyden started out as a Christmas tree farm - as in Big John Leyden’s Tree Farm, one of the biggest in Southern New England - but has since pivoted to include a 2nd act as a vineyard and winery. Beyond grapes, they also grow the strawberries and blueberries that go into the making of their fruit wines. Today, you can go to sample, sip, and purchase their reds, whites, and fruit varieties, all whilst sitting back and enjoying the charming, scenic views of the WG.

Because who doesn’t have their phone handy 24/7 these days, right? (True Story: I went to an event over the winter and actually had to go in person to an office to buy tickets.
