I discovered a new restaurant for tacos and if Patty J hadn’t asked me to share, I probably would have kept it quiet.

We like going to the one on Budlong Road in Cranston for a low key dinner just about every week. (They have a 2nd location in Warwick.)

Papi’s is super small and quiet-ish, with most of the activity coming from people in and out to pick up their takeout orders.

And the staff greeting everyone with a friendly HEYYYYYYY.

(Side Bar: As a regular, I’ve started noticing that the turnaround time for a takeout order is about 10 minutes, which is pretty good.)

Forget The Flowers, Bring Me Tacos

Everything tastes so fresh, and the food is nicely prepared (and it photographs well!).

Last time we were there my bf got a burrito, I got the taco salad, and we split some tacos.

They also have a tasty nacho app, sides you can’t get enough of (like plantains), and the Mexican soda brand Jarritos, a fizzy nod to authenticity.

So, whether you’re looking to celebrate an upcoming Taco Tuesday, or your idea of a balanced diet is a taco in each hand, keep it local and casual with a meal at Papi’s.
