3 Of The Best Local Spots For Fall Fotos With Your BFF's Or Significant Other

It’s that time again…

You know, time to get those (hey I’m) on-the-farm fotos up on social.

You know the drill. Big smiles. Perfectly distressed denim. The occasional flannel thrown in for good measure. Oh and consider yourself warned - some people are trying to make brown lipstick happen again. (Everything 90’s is new again apparently. Remember when we were all wearing Toast of NY from Revlon and the hey days of the Bobbi Brown lip?)

And you definitely don’t wanna blink. Because then you might miss this, and find yourself right in the thick of the look-how-cute-my-parka-and-knit- hat-are photo cycle. Also known as November and December. (Extra bragging points if you can incorporate some hot chocolate in cute mugs in the aforementioned scenario.)

Exactly why today I’m shining a light on three of the most popular spots to see, be seen at, and snap pics from this season, specifically in Tiverton and Little Compton.

1. Walker's Roadside Stand

Walker's Roadside Stand does not disappoint. You’ll find lots of inspo, from pumpkins sitting atop rock walls to heaps of glorious gourds and other autumnal veggies just waiting to be snapped. Tres Farm-tastic! Yes, it’s beautiful, bucolic, and RI scenic at its best. Also, Rhody-based Instagram celebs who have updated from there in the past include Abby Capalbo and probably KJP, in case you need more reasons to go.

2. The Cafe & Tasting Room At Sakonnet

Enter wine (ing). After all those outdoor photos at Walkers and in the vicinity, motor over to Sakonnet for some vino and snacks (also for the record, not counting the roadside stands, it’s literally the only sit-down restaurant in all of Little Compton), and maybe a few moments to mull over what’s on those camera rolls.

This might be a good time to also mention that almost no one uses the standard IG filters anymore (In other words…don’t do it!) and that adding some brightness by going in and adjusting the exposure and saturation can do wonders for what at first glance might look like a dud of a pic (even Christie Brinkley said as much whilst making the rounds on the talk show circuit to promote her skincare line or DWTS at one point).

3. Gray's Ice Cream At Tiverton Four Corners

Almost everyone mentions Gray’s when pressed for their list of East Bay favorites (I have been known to ask, jus sayin). So of course, you have to stop for a few scoops (YOLO, and you probably just burned off some caloriess walking the farms, so whateves) and possibly some pints to bring back home. Open 365 days a year, there are so many flavors to choose from - in addition of course to those classics like chocolate, vanilla, and coffee for the strict ice cream traditionalist (We all have at least one!) in your life.
