This Enchanting Spot In PVD Is Perf For Al Fresco Art And Drinks

The Tiny Bar on Richmond Street in Providence first opened its doors last November which feels like another lifetime at this point.

At the soft opening my friend C. and I were wowed by the enchanting feel to the place: The delightful decor. (String lights, anyone?) The creative and intriguing cocktail menu. The eye catching art work on the exterior commissioned by The Avenue Concept, the non-profit that’s behind all the stunning murals and sculptures around the capital city. (See photos below.)

And then there was the courtyard where outdoor seating had been set up, flanked by a handful of tall patio heaters.

At the time it seemed whimsical, the idea of sitting outside during the colder months and nursing an autumnal drink or two.

Flash forward to this fall and I’m all about drinks and eats — and meeting friends — outside. (Frankly it’s all al fresco dining and meet ups for me for the foreseeable future.)

Also, last night we were back at the Tiny Bar because I wanted to see the NEW mural on the buildiing that local artist Michael Ezzell, on Instagram as @eezzll, had recently completed.

The bar itself was closed (more about this in a sec), but the art work was stunning in the remaining hour of daylight and I highly recommend checking it out for yourself this month.

I took a few dozen photos, then proceeded to explore the empty seating area and was incredibly impressed by the number of heat lamps that the owner/proprietors have added. I mean, style wise this fall and winter, it’s going to be all about great looking coats (that also of course provide warmth) nand establishments with heated patio spaces.

Now I’m definitely going back this week for drinks and whatnot and think you’ll want to too.
