We Picked Out A Bunch Of Calming Christmas Gifts From This Local Lavender Farm

Used to be that if you wanted to experience a lavender farm, you had to drive to the Cape or Connecticut.

Well, the terrific news is that we now have one right here in lil Rhody — in the Wakefield and South Kingstown area actually.

I first became aware of Lavender Waves Farm during the summer of 2019 when (thanks in large part to my Instagram Explore tab) I was wanting to plan a photoshoot somewhere I could be surrounded by rows and rows of lavender.

It didn’t happen for a variety of reasons. This past summer, though, the Farm, popped up on my radar again when someone I know who happens to have exquisite taste booked the luxe suite that sits atop the barn and overlooks the fields.

When her posts appeared in my feed, gotta say they had me really wishing I had arranged a stay there.

Apparently, the suite is reserved through Christmas, but it’s definitely one of many things (along with their Cut Your Own Lavender events that happen during July and August once the lavender is at peak bloom) to put on your wish list for 2021.

Another way you can get some of their calming lavender into your life rn?

Scope out their site where they still have limited quantities of candles (including a Stress Relief one that’s a delightful blend of lav and vanilla, we bought a half dozen yesterday when we visited LWF and met the owners by the way), soaps, oils, sachets (which are supposed to be marvelous for helping to keep moths at bay) and dried blooms available for purchase.

I mean, after the year we’ve all had, who amongst us wouldn’t appreciate and adore a Stress Relief Candle this holiday? (And locally made to boot!)

Also I hear — wink, wink — that the folks at LWF have more fun-tastic stuff planned for next year too.

If (like me) you want to stay in the loop with what they’ll be rolling out in the new year, you’ll want to follow the Lavender Waves Farm Insta.
