The Providence Cafe With Some Of The Yummiest Pancakes In Rhode Island

This Photo And The Ones Below Are All Courtesy Of Us.

I only just found out about this neighborhood gem on Providence’s East Side which the locals absolutely love last week.

Turns out, so many people I know who live or work (or both) on the East Side are apparently serious fans of their breakfast (especially the blueberry pancakes), freshly squeezed orange juice, sandwiches, and more.

My husband happened to be running in the area recently (he’s running every single street in the state) and spotted The Butcher Shop on Elmgrove.

A few days later we motored over for a late breakfast (they offer breakfast all day which is a real plus for anyone who likes to either sleep in or have a leisurely morning at home prior to rushing out the door) and the food at this no-frills and old school market meets cafe was pretty great.

My husband had a veggie omelette with avocado and fried potatoes (one of my weaknesses) and he said it tasted super FRESH and delicious, not at all greasy.

I opted for an egg and cheese on a croissant — and a blueberry pancake.

Can I please tell you that the brekkie sammie was terrific, and that pancake was phenomenal. Wow, just wow.

Pancake aficionados take note: We’ve all experienced pancake disappointment when after ordering, they turn out to be tasteless and dried out. And this was definitely NOT the case. In other words, you gotta go.

Regulars also adore their bagels and lox, the gluten free options, and the burgers.

Find The Butcher Shop at 157 Elmgrove Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island.
