The Darling Deli And Cafe In Warwick For Lunch, Coffee, And Sweets

I popped back in to The Corner House Delicatessen on Post Road in Warwick for a late lunch the other day and boy, am I glad I did!

This combination deli and market that just opened this past summer (courtesy of the same folks who brought us The Shanty, a few doors down the road) is cutely styled and most importantly, has a ginormous menu of sandwiches to choose from.

In addition to that, they give you the option of building your own which is exactly what I did — tuna salad, sliced tomato, and cheese on sourdough, thank you v. much.

The sandwich that was ultimately walked over to my table (in The Corner House branded paper) was HUGE, big enough for two hungry people to share.

PS — I also ordered a lavender and vanilla (oat milk) latte which was delicious.

Want something other than a sandwich? The Corner House has beaucoup baked goods including gluten free (met their in house baker and she is a delight) and a variety of cold drinks. In other words, anything and everything you could possibly want for a quick midday treat or casual meal.

Again, the interior is truly lovely, and — this is a big AND — they have even more goodies in the area adjacent to their seating.

Yea, the other side of this space is small but mighty terrific, stocked with bouquets, candies and desserts (large and small cakes), gourmet provisions and pantry items, a refrigerate with to-go eats, and a freezer with Warwick Ice Cream as well as other deliciousness.

I ended up leaving with a bunch of housemade treats including mini cannolis and an apple crisp, which everyone at our house loved.

Ya know what? I think this could be my NEW favorite lunch place.
