The Cozy Restaurant In Warwick For Wonderful Brunch And Dinner

It’s time to revisit a new classic (I say this because they’ve been open since 2014…by someone who got her start washing dishing in restaurants when she was in her teens…I mean, how great is THAT?) on Post Road in Warwick.

The Shanty is where cozy Rhody rustic aesthetic and truly fresh and yummy casual eats meet. This is not a greasy spoon, far from it. (One of my nieces has been a SUPER fan of their breakfast burritos since the beginning and she’s a tough customer, lol. Her other faves include Al Forno and Bacaro.)

The hubs was beyond impressed with their vegan (breakfast) burrito, and he’s not even a vegan. This not your basic or run-of-the-mill filled tortilla. It’s a delightful mix of black beans, avocado, spinach, sweet potato, pickled onions, blueberries and rosemary.

I had their egg sandwich on an English (muffin) and it was generously sized with melt-y cheese. A terrif nosh on a winter day in Lil Rhody.

Regulars rave about their yam fries, French toast, pickled vegetables, martinis, soup specials, and more.

Also, how lucky were we to get a table on a weekend when we didn’t make a reservation? Highly recommend that you make one, though, because they are always hopping.
