We Had Tea And Snacks At This Dreamy Fox Point Restaurant

My friend KG and I stopped by Aleppo Sweets on Ives Street the other day and everything was mighTEA good, from the menu to the white interior interior accented with soft, water-y blues.

I’ve been drinking more tea these days, and their Hibiscus Tea is one of the most flavorful I’ve ever sipped. Ever.

My friend KG and I got a large pot and guess what?

We drank it all.

So tasty, and this from someone who considered themselves a coffee only person for the longest time.

If you happen to fancy some java, you can always order a Turkish coffee there, too.

We skipped the pastries this time (I know, I know…their baklava is legendary and melts in your mouth) and instead went with their stuffed grape leaves, housemade hummus (woah), and Syrian bread.

It’s a light lunch or mid-day snack that frankly you cannot go wrong with.

Whatever way you’re eating these days (vegetarian, vegan, carnivore, etc.), they have a variety of delicious-ness for you to tuck into.

Regulars rave about their fatayer (meat pie), stuffed dates, falafel, and baba ganoush (eggplant dip).

Also, they were hopping the other day.

I mean, when are they NOT busy?

If you haven’t been in a while, it’s time for a return visit to this dream-y spot. (I was late to the party, not having tried them until after they were open for a while, but now I’m onboard with all their meat-free offerings and sweets.)
