The Adorable Taco Truck In Warren, Rhode Island You'll Want To Visit This Weekend

Last night we were on our way to a book signing in Warren at Inkfish Books when I spotted a sign for something called The Box which piqued my interest immediately.

Turns out that The Box is an entirely adorable SEASONAL taco trailer truck on Child Street, right next to the brand new Del’s Depot (yet another reason to take a little Rhode trip over).

Everything is made fresh while you wait via a wood fired oven that’s attached to the end of the trailer and situated in a screened in “porch” area.

It doesn’t get any better than THAT, amirite?

Last night folks were lining up for their tacos (which to my surprise, look more like mini pizzas and are ginormous, big enough to share with at least one other person), chips with homemade salsa and guac, burritos (which I hear are more of a calzone meets traditional burrito hybrid), bottled Kristi’s Kraftails (another local maker who specializes in thoughtfully created and low sugar cocktails and mocktails), and more.

People come from all over Rhode Island for their food. (They’ve been open for over 3 years and I can’t believe that I only just found out about them this week.)

They also had a fab selection of hot sauces and cold drinks, not to mention a swell vintage Coca Cola cooler out front.

You can do carryout or take your order over to the adorable sitting area on the side. It’s eclectic and cozy.

You definitely have some time to get there since they’ll be cooking up their scrumptious tacos and stuff til October, but why wait?

Take the taco fanatic in your world and they’ll be eternally grateful.
