We Had Sunday Brunch At This Sweet Bagel Shop In Stonington, Connecticut

Originally launched from the driveway of their home, this family run, boutique style bagel shop is now situated at The Velvet Mill in Stonington, Connecticut (so many terrific makers and small businesses there btw) — just a stone’s throw over the Rhode Island line.

And their name, The Flour Shop…I mean, how clever and cute is that?

We got there about 5-10 minutes before they were going to close for the day; luckily we were able to get our hands on a Rosemary & Sea Salt bagel with butter (for me) and an egg and cheese croissant (for the husband).

Hot tip, it’s best to plan ahead and get there early because they sell out.

They change up their selection of flavors regularly but you can always get one of their egg sandies (egg + cheese on a bagel sandwiches), their sourdough version, an EGGTACO, pastries (cookies, muffins, scones), hot or cold coffee, and teas.

And more! (The hubs did get a fresh baked croissant 🥐 with egg and cheese. He LOVED that there was something on the menu named for Nick Nolte, too.)

Go for breakfast or brunch at The Flour Shop (open Thursday thru Sunday from 8am to 1pm) and stay to explore the rest of the storefronts in The Velvet Mill.
