We Had Lunch On The Waterfront In Warren At A Beautiful Restaurant

On Water Street

The inside of Trafford is absolutely stunning: With the ocean blue ceiling and starry lights as well as the wooden boat frame affixed there (also the way the bar is designed…the whole interior really), it feels just like being onboard an actual boat.

We decided to sit outside, though, because it was such a gorgeous August day in Warren, Rhode Island, and why miss out on the views of the water? (Summers are short here…who are all these people posting about fall right now, lol?)

Their drink menu is enormous with domestic and imported beer, wines and champagne, cocktails, and mocktails. The hubs got a lemonade and I decided on the Feelin Peachy, which is peach iced tea mixed with housemade lemonade. It really hit the spot on a warm and kinda humid afternoon. (See photo below.)

Tom got the Salmon Burger with fries which he liked very much. I have to say here and now that I ate at least half of those fries because they were scrumptious.

I was torn between the Summer Citrus Salad and the Crab Cakes, and hemmed and hawed over the raw bar options. Ended up with the crab cakes served with roasted corn salsa, chipotle aioli, and micro cilantro — and they were delightful (not all lumpy and quite flavorful).

Highly recommend grabbing lunch or dinner here real soon. It’s an entirely pleasant way to spend an hour or two this season in the Ocean State.

Find Trafford at 285 Water Street (across from Cafe Water Street) in Warren, Rhode Island.
