We Had A Fantastic Brunch At This Smithfield, Rhode Island Restaurant

Every single time we’ve driven by this restaurant, it has been packed.

Crowded.

Hopping.

And I was curious.

So, the other day we decided to pop in to The Trap North in Smithfield (formerly Kountry Kitchen) for lunch and see what all the fuss is about.

Well, the exterior and interior of this new-ish eatery is marvelous including a back deck overlooking the pound that boasts a (2nd) full bar and plenty of table seating for those who want an al fresco experience. (Yea, let’s NOT forget that the official end of Summer 2023 is September 23rd and NOT September 1st.)

This place is peak Rhody rustic where an elevated CABIN aesthetic meets terrif American casual eats and drinks.

The menu is huge — and the hubs and I also love that you can walk in in the afternoon and still order from the breakfast/brunch part of the menu.

The hubbie got the lemon ricotta pancakes and I opted for the French toast with strawberries with a mocktail version of a Bloody Mary.

Both were entirely yum and the portions were big enough to share or have some left to take home which is always nice.

Our server Cassidy was on point, too, checking in on us throughout our meal, offering to refill our drinks and so on.

I mean, we would go back in a heartbeat for either lunch or din din.

Moreover, I hear they have live music at night which sounds so FUN.
