The Middletown Farm Where You Can Cuddle Baby Goats

Babies, Babies, Babies!

It’s baby goat season at the 142 year old Simmons farm in Middletown Rhode Island.

And what does that mean?

Baby goat cuddling one on one!

There is nothing cuter or more precious than cuddling and snuggling a teeny tiny baby goat.

Brian and Karla Simmons run this farm; Karla has the auspicious title of being The Goat Whisperer.

A 30 minute session began with a small group. My two day old, blue-eyed, precious Eleanor cuddled and slept with her head on my chest. She smelled like pure fresh air.

The other participants enjoyed their baby goats, and all their adorableness. Other baby goats, of all ages, milled about at our feet. There were a set of twins and the rare triplets born. They are returned to their mamas, who are enjoying a lil alone time, after the session.

Karla answered any and all questions with fun facts about the farm’s origins, each baby, their siblings and parents.

This is my third visit to Simmons farm…It certainly is not my last!

Year-round, family, friendly events, include goat, hikes, large group goat, cuddles, goat, yoga, goat cheese, making classes. Private parties can be booked as well.

Tip: Wear rubber boots, a sweatshirt, anything you won’t mind getting a little dirty. Handwashing before and after is provided.
