The Delicious Cafe In Providence For Cheesecake, Cake Jars, And Mini Pies

Whisk Me Away (helmed by Morgan, a local pastry chef) started popping up a local farmers markets and such about three years ago. They also offer catering for special events. Maybe you’ve seen her posts on social?

The great news is that if you weren’t aware of Whisk Me Away or haven’t had a chance to patronize them yet, they now have a bake house (cafe style) in Providence that you can visit on the weekends.

We were there this past Sunday morning and I couldn’t wait to tell you how fantastic my egg-and-cheese-on-a-spinach-and-garlic-biscuit was!

Frankly it was plenty big enough to share with someone but I didn’t.

The glass case was full of other freshly baked goodies too, including English muffins (I mean, when do we ever find those in a bakery?), bagels, cheddar biscuits, jumbo salted chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon buns, raspberry toaster strudel (a fan favorite), salted caramel apple pie donuts, scones, and MORE.

There’s also a nice menu of hot and cold beverages with everything from lavender lemonade and iced tea to oat milk hot cocoa and hot cawfee.

The shop itself is also very cute by way of industrial chic with a big picture window that overlooks the tail end of Atwells Avenue and the train tracks. (It’s in the same building on Harris Avenue as LitArts RI, formerly What Cheer Writers Club.)

People were picking up to-go boxes and others were hanging out to dip into their orders.

Regulars rave about their blondies, funfetti cheesecake, cinnamon bun doughnuts, cake jars and mini pies.

Make plans for this coming Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning because, again, they are only open on those days right now.

Find Whisk Me Away at 400 Harris Avenue (UNIT G) in Providence, RI.
