The Christmas Greenhouses In Rhode Island Decorated With Over 2,000 Poinsettias

The Botanical Center at RWP is Christmas ready! Warm up at this whimsical spot whilst getting into the holiday spirit.

This year the main greenhouse is decorated with holiday trains, gold reindeer, beaucoup trees (one huge one sitting atop one of the fountains), and over 2,000 poinsettias.

The 2nd greenhouse has several smaller xmas trees, more poinsettias, and an eye-catching koi pond (the only one in Rhode Island that’s open to the public that I’m aware of).

This family friendly destination is open Tuesday thru Sunday from 10am to 4pm, and is a marvelous spot to bring the kids before Christmas Eve.

They were hosting wreath making classes but I think they already wrapped up — get it, wrapped up? — for the season. (Pssst….Keep an eye out for their 2026 event calendar because it’s gonna be good.)

Also, since this coming weekend is supposed to be freezing, why not take a tropical break in one of these balmy and ultra festive glass houses?
