A Sweet Farm In Rhode Island Where You Can Connect With Adorable Animals
Founded in 2020 as a “peaceful oasis,” The Gentle Farm in Wakefield (RI) is a delightful destination where you can connect with adorable mini horses (mother and daughter), some lively mini goats, a marvelous donkey family (the mom and dad were adopted from a sanctuary and after setting at the Farm, they had a son), a pair of cute bunnies, and a flock of chickens who will catch your attention.
The hubs stumbled on this sweet farm when he was running South Kingstown (I never would have known about it otherwise), and we rushed right over that very same day which luckily for us happened to be their annual open house.
The founder and the volunteers (this is a non-profit) there welcome children, special needs adults, elderly dementia patients, and anyone looking for a calm refuge. (Psssst…I highly encourage you to look at the glowing online reviews on their site and elsewhere.)
Visit with the animal residents, explore the grounds, and chat with the team.
It is by appointment only, though, so please reach out to them directly via phone (401) 486 - 2694 to schedule something this Spring or Summer.
