Having A Ball With The Falafel At This New Rhode Island Eatery

My old friend Christina is back, talking about some incredible food in Cranston (Rhode Island)…

Summer's here and the time is right for... figuring out what to eat.  The last thing anyone wants to do during the hazy, hot and humid days is heat up their kitchen or stand near a stove or grill.  Even the airfryer is getting side eye these days at my house.  The only thing worse than cooking in this weather is fielding questions about dinner.  "I don't know, what do you feel like having?"  That's why I was so excited to hear about a new, local eatery!

We typically didn't think of Middle Eastern fare when take-out options were being volleyed back and forth.  But that mealtime misstep has been rectified since we recently discovered Damascus Grill!  After being out all  day, we picked up Pita Wraps for a quick meal when we got home.  The Traditional Shawarma has a bold flavor with a bright tanginess from the pomegranate glaze. The Falafel Wrap had a delightful creamy sauce and I loved the great pickle crunch.  A new favorite has been found!

In addition to their yummy Pita Wraps,  Damascus Grill offers a Shish Bowl with tasty chicken kabobs, a Falafel Platter and a Sujuk Sandwich meal.  Their  menu also includes sides like Kibbe, Grape Leaves and Fatayer. If any of these dishes sound unfamiliar to you, like they did to me, don't be afraid to ask.  This is a family-owned restaurant, happy to answer questions. They also have fries and onion rings!  We can't wait to visit again and explore more of the menu.  You can find Damascus Grill at 122 East Street in Cranston, Rhode island.
