Instead of ac and tv, try reapplying the SPF, throwing on something cool (it’s much too hot for closed shoes, even if you don’t like how your toes look) and making a plan to hit these terrif outdoor spots in the city of Warwick.
Rocky Point Amusement Park memories? Anyone born before 1980 is sure to regal you with them. That being said, the Rocky Point State Park Fishing Pier that was unveiled in 2020 in that neck of the woods (where the amusement park used to be) is a must see for everyone. The park itself is a fab destination for strolling, dog walking, and family fun activities such as picnic-ing or tossing around a frisbee.

There’s also the Rocky Point Blueberry Farm, established in 1986 and opening officially on Saturday, July 5th. Sure, you can pick your own but you can also grab a carton or two without having to roll up your sleeves. Really appreciate that this blueberry farm lets you forgo the hard labor in the hot sun and buy fresh berries to bring back home.

As far as restaurants and eats, there is the patio at Crow’s Nest across from the Ponaug Marina.
The Tree House Tavern is a another marvelous spot for meeting your best pals for al fresco lunch or dinner. If you're looking for a change of scenery from your usual haunts, somewhere with plenty of character and pizzazz, snag some seats on their patio or the vine-covered porch.
As always, if you visit any of these fine locations after reading this, do let them know you heard about them via Patty J and PattyJ.com.
