The Cinnamon Buns Everyone In Rhode Island Is Talking About

Tucked away inside the Market On Broadway in Newport is a bakery that practically everyone in Rhode Island is talking about right now.

Co-Dough, a woman-owned small biz, is helmed by URI grad Courtney Brockwell.

She is the sole baker of the sourdough bread, donuts, scones, and those now Insta FAMOUS cinnamon buns that are popping up in all of our feeds this winter.

Yes, she makes everything from scratch (from a sourdough starter) every Wednesday thru Sunday, and once everything sells out, it’s gone for that day.

There are no restocks.

Folks have been lining up every morning (Co-Dough opens at 8:30am sharp) since last summer to get their hands on these baked goodies.

Let me just take this opportunity to say the scones are DIVINE and I wish I’d brought some to my mom that day I went.

This might seem a tad extreme to some, but hear me when I say that these breads and pastries are some of the best I’ve tried in recent memory.
