The Westerly Restaurant Where I Send Everyone For Pizza + Bagels
A NEW Classic in Downtown Westerly, Rhode Island
Been to Nana’s in Westerly yet? Open since March 2022, this is a spin-off from their original location located in Mystic, Connecticut, and it has so much to offer food wise.
For starters, they make everything from doughnuts and bagels to pizza crust using sourdough which is supposed to be easier on the ole digestion which certainly intrigued me.
Well, the last time we were there, after 12:30, they were all sold out of said donuts (cue the sad music). So, learn from us and get there early if you want to try their doughnuts.
It started with a bummer but thinggs started looking up once I got my hhands on one of their the bagel with cream cheese. Frankly, even though they never followed me back on social, gotta say it was one of the best that I’ve ever eaten. In other words, add bagels to your list when you go.
Their coffee and tea menu is fun too — and they have oat milk. (Still waiting for everyone to hop on the oat milk train at this point, lol.)
For those wishing to indulge, their brunch cocktail menu looked tempting and you may see me singing the praises of one or two real soon, wink. (It’s been a long and brutal winter, ya know?)
The hubs and I also feasted on egg sandwiches — a brekkie classic no matter how you slice it — on their signature sourdough.
This combo bakery cafe fills up fast, so I recommend booking a table in advance to avoid any disappointment, especially if you’re driving from more than 20 minutes away. (All the Rhode Island natives out there know what I’m talking about.)
I was so tempted to leave with one of their famous pizza pies and frankly, am still regretting my decision not to.
Guess that’s yet another reason for a return visit this Spring.
