There's A Stage Show This Monday At A Gallery In East PVD & It Sounds Marvelous

It’s easy to be over stimulated and over saturated these days. If we don’t like what we’re watching or listening to, we can easily flip it off with virtually no effort at all. But when so much of what we consume is disposable for us it’s important to recognize the pieces of art that have depth, heart, and years of work put into them. Vanity is a collection of tenderly cultivated and thoughtful poems and monologues written and directed by John Joseph Gomes

On Monday, November 4th you can sit down and witness something special. The monologues will be performed at the HeART Spot Art Center and Gallery in East Providence by Gomes, along with Caitlin Robert, Joseph Luca, Marina Tejada, and Galen Auer.

These will be deeply personal poems and pieces which have been written over the two decades Gomes has been working as an actor and writer in Rhode Island. “When I went back and read some of the pieces that I haven't looked at since they were written, they moved me to tears and over the years they seem to have taken on an essence of their own,” Gomes said.

So, while there is a vast amount of disposable entertainment out there now, this is definitely not. As we walk through life we grow and evolve as humans, here we find that someone was bold enough to put pen to paper during that journey. And now we have the opportunity to experience the intimate and deeply personal art he created along the way.

Don’t miss this one chance to see Vanity, this coming Monday, November 4th at the HeART Spot Art Center and Gallery, 1970 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence RI: FOR TICKETS CLICK HERE
