The New Space In PVD Where You & Your BFF's Will Want To Do Some Cheersing This Season

A few weeks ago I posted about the then-still-under-construction Tiny Bar PVD and last night we had the chance to actually check it out as guests at their pre-opening party.

Adjacent to wildly popular Olga’s Cup & Saucer patio (hello, same owners), the compact space packs a whole lotta style and substance. The newly refurbished brick and mortar reminds me of something you might stumble upon while walking the Melrose neighborhood in LA, the kinda bar that people who read the travel sections of the NY Times or WSJ think they’re gonna find here when they make the trip here.

It’s spiffy and elegant-ish without taking itself too seriously. If it were a celeb, it would probably be Cate Blanchett or Tracee Ellis Ross.

The first thing you’ll notice as you approach is the striking bird mural that frames the front entrance. It’s part of the owners’ collab with the collective, The Avenue Concept who have brought all the public art to the city over these last few years. And true to 2019 form, someone just messaged me this morning, after seeing the Instagram Story I’d put up about this mural, telling me the artist is Rick Vespia. (Thx!)

The interior is equally as captivating with gold accents and an interior mural of ginormous grey flowers set against an off-white backdrop. (It’s so PRETTY.) We ordered from the luxe-looking wall menu of creative cocktails and our drinks did not disappoint. Sometimes, I feel like those drinks can be a little over the top and scream because we can. Not TBPVD, tho. I had the Autumn Mule and it was a yummy spin on the original.

On the con side, odds are that most likely you won’t be able to linger too long inside once you get your drink order because well…TINY BAR. They do, however, have their own outdoor patio seating area with plenty of heat lamps set up for good measure.

Tiny Bar PVD is opening for biz next week, on Thursday, November the 21st: Go to their IG for hours of op, updates, and more.

*Tiny Bar is located at 377 Richmond Street in Providence.
