This Breakfast Place Combines Delish Eats & Insta Worthy Decor, So Text Your Crew

Sure I’m excited about the recently announced Jlo and Arod engagement. Jennifer is after all the Elizabeth Taylor of our time. But I have more practical news today for those of us who make our homes in the OS and don’t have million dollar plus diamond rings - Yesterday we tried out a new breakfast place (new to us…it’s apparently been open since November of 2017) and it was outstanding! Truth be told, if it were in the Providence area, we probably would have waited in line for at the very least 20 to 30 minutes to even get a table. But we didn’t which, not gonna lie, I’m living for these days.

The Best Breakfast Place in Rhode Island You Haven’t Heard Of…Yet

Yup, we motored over in the pouring rain to the aptly named Excellent Breakfast at 218 Harrisville Main Street (behind Niko’s Pizza…you’re GPS won’t tell ya that) and it was so worth it. The space itself is welcoming and Insta worthy. We were greeted with a touch of greenery, a sign board, white walls, glossy black tiles, and wooden booths. Adorable! I can totally see some top shelf food bloggers on Insta posting from here in the not-too-distant future. (Remember, though, you heard about it here first!)

So the decor rivals anything else I’ve seen in and around the capital city and it also gets high praise for the social media-related possibilities, but what about food? Newsflash, it was pretty darn greattt! I had the eggs with polenta + spinach, an English muffin, and a coffee and the hubs had eggs with spinach, potatoes, an English muffin, and tea. (My husband can’t drink coffee anymore and he apparently wants me to give up drinking java as well now too…two words, not happening) Everything was fresh, nicely presented, and not at all greasy. Highly recommending. The catch? Right now, they’re only open Wednesday thru Sunday 6:30 am to 2pm, so start making plans for either later this week or next weekend with your fav people.
