Winter Pixies & Toy Soldiers Will Be Popping Up At This Christmas Wonderland In Providence

When you think of Christmas (or Chrismukkah for those who watched THE OC back in day…in true Rhode Island fashion I went to high school with the brother of one of the show’s creators and had heard something about how it was actually based in part on his experiences at Classical High School in Providence during the 1980’s) cheer and festive places around the state, I’m fairly certain that the Botanical Center at RWP doesn’t immediately spring to mind.

A Christmas Past At The RWP Botanical Center In Providence

Open since 2007, it has the distinction of being the largest indoor public garden in all of New England featuring not 1 but 2 greenhouses, no less than 17 varieties of palm trees, an absolutely stunning koi pond, and believe it or not, a mini waterfall.

This time of year, it actually transforms into an utterly enchanting mix of merry and tropical, featuring an abundance of red and white poinsettias, thousands of white lights, and plenty of whimsically attired trees (including those palms) throughout.

And this coming Sunday it’s going to get even better!

During their Holly Day weekend extravaganza, you can actually wander around the Christmassy wonderland that is The Botanical Center and be surrounded by winter pixies, toy soldiers, and a lot more!

Hop on over to their site to grab tickets before they sell out.

The RWP Botanical Center is located inside Roger Williams Park in PVD on Floral Avenue.
