Here I am, 64 weeks dye free.

My growing gray journey so far… has been flawless!

Some have described me growing natural gray/silver hair as “letting yourself go.”

Others have been amazingly supportive.

Me letting myself go?

Not even close.

I call it my self awareness journey of empowerment.

Here are some positive aspects and challenges I’ve faced:

The Good 🤩

Brave, first and foremost

Courageous

No more dyes or chemicals every 2-3 weeks

The expense

Healthy natural hair

Feeling unique

Sexy and beautiful

CONFIDENT

Powerful

Freedom

The Challenges

My challenges were mild:

Fear of judgement (being a busy makeup artist)

First 6 months can be daunting...the white stripe!

And going against society’s views on ageism

Why didn’t I begin this journey earlier?

Plain and simple I wasn’t confident or ready.

Then one day I was!
