These Are Very Spe-SHELL

If you’re at all a fan of Tori Spelling’s ouevre of tell-all memoirs about growing up in LA as the daughter of one of Hollywood’s wealthiest and most successful tv producers of the 1970’s and 80’s (highly recommend, especially if you loved 90210, Melrose Place, Dynasty or Love Boat), then you may be familiar with her story about collecting shells on the beach in Malibu when she was a kid.

Apparently she would always find the prettiest ones and lots of them. Hmmmm…..

What The Shell?

Years later she found out her mother, who would stand next to her carrying a high end purse and puffing on a cig, was planting those fancy shells, that they had been stashed in her mom’s bag the whole entire time.

I say this because sure, it’s a classic kind of Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous story, but also because I have a way for you to wow the shell fans in your orbit — without any of the Candy Spelling level trickery!

Made In Rhode Island: Yes, Carole from Orange Seahorse Art hand-paints shells gathered from local shores (we are after-all the OCEAN state) and turns them into these wonderful keepsakes and gift items for the beach lovers and pisces ♓️ in your world.

And because today is St. Patrick’s she also has some greattt ones with shamrocks as well as some beautiful Easter bunny and egg themed ones! (See photos from her IG below.)

You can shop her creations via her Etsy or at one of my favorite shops in Wickford Village, the Eclectic Bungalow (where they are carried year round), on 1 Brown Street.

Also: Find her on IG @OrangeSeahorseArt.

As always, if you pick up any of these shells after reading this, please do let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
