Your Fave South Kingstown Greenhouses Are Open For The Season & They Look Gorgeous

Hello, Old Friend

I have tree-mendous news: The Farmer’s Daughter has reopened for the year and a trip over to 716 Mooresfield Road in South Kingstown might be just the thing to put a spring in your step this week.

Farmer’s has been a go-to of mine since the first summer of this blog (2015, to be exact, if you were wondering).

Unbeknownst to me at that time, the enchanting garden center and tree farm (the likes of which I’d honestly never seen) had actually been open since 1998.

Also, the owner and proprietor Sarah Partyka studied horticulture at my alma mater just up the road, the University of Rhode Island, and she is all about sustainable farming. That last part means that all the plants and produce grown there have been nurtured using only natural composts and organic ingredients.

Whether you’re looking for some flowers and plants to spruce up your patio or yard this season, some early Easter shopping (we spotted some adorable bunnies and such the other day), or to snap mad pics for social, Farmer’s is better than ever ty.

Also, watch for their cut your own flowers and summer weekend events when they bring in food trucks that’ll be here before we know it. (Psssst — They even have a butterfly hut for the kiddos and the kids at heart.)

The only thing Farmer’s is missing (and I’ve said THIS before) is some sort of cute cafe or coffee shop.
