The Darling Cafe In East Greenwich For Your Next Coffee Run Or Lunch Date

Rhode Island Rustic

This place in EG is really something!

I first discovered Wild Harvest after their picturesque Christmas decorations caught my eye as I was driving by one winter afternoon.

The other day, I went back to this cozy log cabin cafe set back from the road (another reason why you might not be aware) on South County Trail for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find they’ve expanded their outdoor seating.

In addition to their sweet front porch they’ve added a large, flower filled seating area off to the side. (See pics below.)

Their food and drink offerings were pretty darn impressive too.

Think they’ve changed their hours and are open later, too, because when I’ve popped over later in the day in the past, they were either closing or closed.

Sure, you can grab an iced or hot coffee, tea, or chai and a pastry there but don’t overlook their sandwiches and pasta and potato salads: The tuna salad sandwich with a side of chickpea salad that I opted for on Friday was one of the yummiest mid-day meals I’ve inhaled in recent memory.

And I adore their marvelous porch; a great friend of mine has always wanted a house with one and she would totally and completely appreciate it.

The other day, there were a few pairs of folks porch sitting, enjoying sips and eats, and I’m fairly certain they all thought I was beyond annoying for taking videos and photos of everything but whatevs.

Regulars go gaga over their breakfast sandwiches (I would go back for breakfast this summah in a heartbeat), bagels, and chocolate chip cookies.
