We Ordered From This Providence Croissant Maker And Yum
This unique and exciting French pastry endeavor started as a cart and has over the last several years morphed into what I’ll call a croissant pick-up situation.
Or even better, a PVD Croissanterie. (Side bar, embarrassingly enough, I wore a black beret on a trip to Paris back in the 90’s. Quel faux pas!)
Today let’s circle back to Butterbang Croissants which I first blogged about way back in November 2019: They have since expanded their offerings in a big way, adding all kind of luscious specials including but not limited to the following: a blueberry version filled with organic blueberry jam and sweet cream, a tantilizing Passion Curd Cruffers, and a bunch of different Squares like a vegetarian Honey Harissa & Za’ atar Goat Cheese and a nut free Pesto & Goat Cheese. (For the record, as someone who’s married to a man with a severe tree nut allergy, I appreciate very much that their pesto is NOT made with nuts.)
Also, grilled cheese.
And fudge, yesssss fudge.
Sure, you can always grab something scrumptious at Pastiche, Ellie’e and Seven Stars (and I do all the time), but if you’re looking for a fun-tastic and NEW kinda food adventure in the capital city, might I humbly suggest checking out the cheekily named Butterbang.
If you sign up for their e-blast, you’ll receive a convenient reminder to place your order before their weekly cut-off which is every Thursday at 1pm. (Note: See the owner’s comment below ⬇️ to find out specifics about how the ordering process has evolved and changed.)
When I went online to try to place an order a while back, some items were already sold out, so I do strongly recommend getting on their site as early as possible and not indulging in procrastination.
Once your order is in, you’ll want to head over to their PVD storefront on the designated morning and pick up these incredible treats. (FYI, please be aware that there are absolutely no walk-ups.)
Butterbang is located at 11 Aleppo Street in Providence, Rhode Island.
As always, if you order after reading THIS, do let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
