We Had A Delicious Breakfast At This Western Cranston Restaurant

Someone once asked if I was afraid of running out of places in Rhode Island to write about.

Well, this delightful brekkie (and lunch) spot in Western Cranston is proof positive that that’s NOT going to happen any time soon.

The hubs and I stopped by The Griddle on Plainfield Pike the other day (our first visit…how did I not know about this place until this past weekend?).

For starters, the interior is too cute; it’s done up in a stylish and warm way, in a beige to deep brown color palette. There’s both table and counter seating, too. (I personally prefer a table or booth to being at a counter but whatevs.)

We got there about an hour before they were closing and they were still busy but thankfully we got a table off to the side right away.

The menu is chock full of breakfast and brunch classics with specific sections for omelettes, sweet treats (crepes, pancakes, French toast, waffles), egg specialties, et cetera.

I had the short stack of blueberry pancakes which were some of the best I’ve eaten this year (definitely top 5 if I had to create a list for you today) with a scrambled egg on the side. Also, their 2 cake short stack is HUGE, enough for 2 people to share.

The hubs had an omelette with home fries and an English (muffin) and it all looked amazing.

Our wait person was on point also.

Regulars rave about their in-house-made corned beef hash, flavored coffees, stuffed French toast, and those HOME FRIES.

If you haven’t been, you will want to add this place to your casual morning and early afternoon eats rotation.
