We Tried This Greek Pizzeria In North Scituate, Rhode Island And Wow

the other day at Socrates Pizza

This Greek pizza parlor in North Scituate, located in Frederickson Farm Plaza on Chopmist Hill Road, is really something special.

The hubs and I stumbled on Socrates Pizza last Saturday — and the pizza was scrumptious (hot and crispy and NOT overloaded with mountains of cheese), the staff was friendly, we had such a swell time.

The owner and proprietor Socrates Mendes was there cooking up pies, too, which added a whole other level of authenticity. For the record, he comes from a famous pizza making family and has well over 40 years of experience in the field.

I just wanna know why…why more people aren’t talking about GREEK style pizza, also why more folks aren’t talking about this place in particular, kai ta hetera (that is the Greek version of the Latin ‘et cetera’).

Their plain white pie with four kinds of cheese and garlic was superb — and even my husband who is super pick-y was raving about it. I brought some home and later on he polished off the whole thing.

They also offer a Greek MARGARITA which I would order (without the pepperoni bc I don’t eat meat) in a heartbeat.

They also offer traditional pizzas, subs, salads and even homemade soup (see the top photo above).
