The Wonderful Jamestown Cafe And Bakery For Your Next Casual Breakfast Or Lunch

We heart The Village Hearth in JT.

Now I relish any opportunity to sit in the little garden at their entrance during the late spring and summer, but will stop there in the colder months too because they are friendly (with my work and life experience as a Nordstrom manage for 13+ years, I can’t help but track which eateries and coffeehouses greet me within 60 to 90 seconds), their interior is completely lovely, and most importantly, their food and drink are sensational.

The locals go wild over their pizza (believe me, if I lived closer, I’d be at the front of that weekly pie line), sandwiches, and super fresh breads, cookies (classics like chocolate chip and specialty ones including their signature “Smiley Face” sugar cookie with Nutella filling which not surprisingly is quite popular on IG), and coffee drinks.

We were there there recently and the egg and avocado on a biscuit BREAKFAST sandwiches were terrific. Another plus? You can order their brekkie sandwiches all day, there’s NO cut-off time.

I mean, I live to eat biscuits and theirs are some of THE BEST I’ve ever tried.

Think a subtle crispiness, soft and light yet somehow still filling, without the end result being that overstuffed and uncomfortable feeling (what I’ve taken to calling eater’s remorse).

You’ll def want to bookmark them for your NEXT daycation in Jamestown. (Can I just mention here how many people were hiking Beavertail this past weekend? Boy, was I surprised!)

For more details, including their menu and hours of operation (full disclosure, they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays right now), check out their site and INSTA.

As always, if you go to The Village Hearth Bakery & Cafe after reading THIS, please let them know you found them via Patty J and PattyJ.com.
