My sister Pearla is now working with me at the shop - she's a Licensed Master Esthetician and she also offers lash extensions. We're currently working on a line of coffee scrubs and body wraps, made using coffee beans from our family's coffee farm in the Dominican Republic.
I love sitting outside on the patio at Duck & Bunny during the fall and enjoying a delicious apple pie sangria by the fire.
The Beehive Cafe in Bristol - Take in the view of Bristol Harbor while noshing on their amazing Butternut Cornbread Hash & their Breakfast Burrito.
The Veiled Crow in Pawtuxet Village is seriously a gem. Loren May is a gifted psychic medium offering tarot card readings, her own line of bath and body products, essential oil blends & more (all handmade by Loren). Remember the movie "Practical Magic" with Sandra Bullock? Her shop reminds me of the one in the movie. Whatever you need, she's got something to help!
Working on My Fitness
I discovered Providence Pilates Center on the East Side about 6 months ago. I'm all about being healthy and feeling strong these days, and the variety of group and private lessons offered here is fantastic. I have a crazy schedule, so having early morning classes and motivating instructors is key. Check out their combo spin/tower Pilates class or do a Pilates Reformer session...thank me later!
Fall/Winter is the time to grow out whatever area you couldn't bear to grow out during the summer in order to wax. Start now (You'll need 14 days of growth.) and wax consistently throughout the winter (every 4-6 weeks). By the summer, you'll have very little regrowth if you don't shave in between waxes. You'll be smoother longer and be able to wax through the summer without worrying about regrowth being dark or full!
