My RI Life: Meet Shanna Molina, RN & All Around Awesome Individual

I've been an RN for 3 1/2 years, working at TMH. Before that, I was a CNA since the age of 17 and worked in a nursing home, home care, landmark hospital, and RIH. This year, I'm transitioning into a brand new job as a school nurse.

Food & Restaurants

I love eating out. Food is my obsession. Although I love branching out and trying new restaurants, I'm ok with simple. One of my everyday on the go grab a bite fast, or after a long night, is Baja's on Thayer Street, where I get a taco salad or a steak & shrimp burrito. It's small on the inside and filled with tons of Brown students, but they have seats and umbrellas outside to enjoy the fun filled ambiance. Shanghai also on Thayer is a nice eat in for sushi and lo mein. I like River Falls in Woonsocket too. It's a hidden gem - Restaurant by day, City side bar at night. The best part is sitting by the water for some drinks and seafood. (Photo above.) For ice cream, hands down it's The Ice Cream Machine in Cumberlanda small but well known shop that attracts everyone!

My Wedding Year

So excited for my wedding coming up on in October. [Photos above of Shanna and her fiance Gerardo.] I'm getting married in Conneticut, but all my vendors are from Rhode Island. We have the best videographer, Mike Picard. For flowers, we chose Golden Gate Studios on Broad Street in Cranston. They also did David Blaine's wedding and he's not even from RI. His fiance was in town, saw a wedding they had done, and had to have them for hers!
