Some Of The Best Rhody Retreats & Summer Outings Because You're In Staycation Mode

We're coming up on the first official day of Summer 2018, so what better time to dish about some classic Rhody spots for summertime staycations and outings (and Instagraming too of course, if you're so inclined). In-demand photog Stacey Doyle is sharing some of her favorite destinations from around the Ocean State as well as some absolutely gorgeous photos from her personal collection. Did any of your warm weather go-to's in Rhode Island make her list? Scroll on and see.

Block Island

My absolute summer fav is Block Island. Quick ferry ride and so many great places to enjoy! I always grab a bike rental as soon as I arrive. Drinks on the patio or on the lawn at the Spring House, the labyrinth, Mohegan Bluffs, apps on the porch or fireside at the National Hotel, and local art and inspiration at the Lightburne Cottage Gallery

After a long day of biking, I'd suggest one of these fab spots for food and drink - Poor People's Pub, Dead Eye Dick's or The Oar. Late night dancing at the Yellow Kittens.

Food & Drink

The Hot Club is a must. It doesn't feel like summer if I haven't lounged on their deck for a long afternoon, enjoying the city and water views (along with a dark & stormy or a few!). A lobster roll (or 14) and clam cakes - So many great spots throughout RI! • Take a walk in our Elmhurst area and head to Newport Creamery for a scoop or two.Cocktails, friends and people watching at Finn's Harborside - Always a hoot! Wine tasting at Diamond Hill Vineyard in Cumberland and Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard in Little Compton
