The Patio In Bristol You'll Want To Bookmark For Your Next Pizza And Pasta Night

Sure, you could order a pizza for pickup or delivery, but with the current burst of mild weather, why not go and sit outside on the small but charming and entirely pleasant patio at Pomodoro’s in Bristol? (And frankly they’ll be plenty of time for carryout once we are ankle or shin deep in snow this winter.)

Located on a quiet-ish street in a town probably known best for hosting the oldest 4th of July parade in the USA and the 464 acres once owned and occupied by Samuel P. Colt (industrialist, politician, and the nephew of Samuel Colt, the inventor who famously patented and mass marketed a pistol that could fire repeatedly without having to be reloaded) that went on to become Colt State Park, this low key neighborhood eatery is an enjoyable spot for tucking into some pizza pies and salads (see my photo below) or a pasta dish or two.

Their spin on Italian comfort food checks all the boxes: Our salads and our pizza were fresh and tasty and I would happily go back again (in a heartbeat) for another meal. No foodie remorse here!

One call out is that they don’t have any hot drinks on their menu. It is BYOB, though, so maybe in addition to that bottle of Pinot, Chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc, you might be able to bring along a travel mug of java or your current tea of choice.

Furthermore, their outdoor space is adorable. (Also, plenty of heaters!). Since we were the first reservation of the night (they open for biz at 4pm), I was able to snap the photo above before tables started filling up.

*Pomodoro Pizzeria is located at 271 Wood Street. They are open Tuesday thru Saturday.
