We Got Hot Drinks From This Coffee Truck In PVD & They Were So Good

I recently discovered some delish and delightful coffee, but tbh I really can’t take all the credit — my friends at Farm To Sandwich food truck were singing the praises of these coffee makers recently on their Instagram and gotta say, my curiosity was peaked.

That’s how I first happened upon Cafe Modesto, a new family run coffee truck that most days, you can find parked near the South Water Street side of the still stunning (sigh) Providence Pedestrian Bridge.

They brew up their lattes, cappuccino, and Americanos using coffee beans from Guatemala, one of the top java producing countries in the whole entire world. And this I’m guessing played a big part in why the latte I bought the other day was so smooth and yummy without the slightest hint of bitterness or acidic aftermath. (Trust me folks, if it doesn’t already, that last detail will matter to you in a big way when you’re over 40.)

The hubs ordered a hot chocolate (he can no longer drink coffee, he wishes he could, though) and I was truly impressed with the care the owners took in making sure the ingredients they use were safe for him. Not only that but the drink he ended up with got high marks for being the perfect temp and entirely tasty.

So, if you need some time out in the fresh air and a little caffeine pick-me-up (they also have sweets like donuts available), I urge you to motor over to Cafe Modesto for a hot beverage or two soon.

Also, get the latest from CM via their @CafeModestoProvidence Instagram.
