The Fab Family Run Vineyard In Foster For Your Next Weekend Adventure

I’d been wanting to visit Nickle Creek Vineyard in Foster for a while.

Then, the hubs and I actually ended up in the vicinity by chance (after stopping at a farmstand on Scituate Avenue, we got back on the road and just kept driving west) — and figured wine not?

There is a dirt road, but do NOT let that deter you.

As one of the women there that day said, it only adds to the rustic ambiance.

The lawn at this family owned and run vineyard and winery is a terrific spot for a tasting (more about my wine flight in a sec) or sharing a bottle with your friends.

There’s a variety of options when it comes to seating (including picnic tables and Adirondacks) and the tunes playing on the sound system were the best soundtrack.

We chatted with one of the owners at their outdoor pouring pavilion and she could not have been nicer, telling us the vineyard is named for her 2 sons (Nicholas and Kyle), all about their wines (naturally), and that a portion of the proceeds from their 2 Dog White (a chardonnay with hints of apples, melon, and vanilla oak) go to local, canine-related non-profits.

In addition to their 2 Dog, I really liked their signature and crisp Foster White.

People also rave their Foster Red and it’s another thing to bookmark for your daycation at 12 King Road this season.

I opted for their wine flight with their 2 Dog White, Pinot Grigio, Foster White, Pinot Noir, Strawberry Blush, and Summer Breeze, along with some Narragansett Creamery Cheddar and water crackers, and a bottled water for the hubs.

A nice little al fresco feast!

Highly recommend adding NCV your weekend itinerary this summer and beyond.

Nickle Creek Vineyard is located at 12 King Road in Foster, Rhode Island, and open on Saturdays and Sundays.
