On The Farm

We first visited the Farmer’s Omelette on Knight Farm (aka, Knight Farm Restaurant) back in May 2016, and I remember it was quite busy, packed with families and groups enjoying am comfort food and drink. (Back then, it was a cash only establishment. You’ll be glad to know that they now take cc’s.)

They are now open for breakfast or brunch including mimosas on Saturdays and Sundays, and I’d been wanting to get back there for ages.

Well, when we finally motored over again, on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30, everything was egg-cellent.

First off, we were greeted and seated right away. And our wait person was friendly and attentive without hovering over us.

If you are someone who enjoys a classic American breakfast (pancakes, french toast, home fries, and of course, omelettes) without any bells and whistles or fuss and fanfare on social, then this unassuming casual space in North Scituate is for you.

If you or one of the folks in your party happens to be craving something hearty, we overheard many orders for their signature Starvin Marvin which features 2 eggs, 2 pancakes or pieces of French toast, 2 different meats, and home fries or toast. Oh boy!

I actually had the polenta (and meat free) benedict with a side of fried potatoes and coffee. The hubs had an egg white omelette with potatoes and tea.

Our food was pipping hot and tasty.

I mean, what more can you ask for?

Dollars to donuts you won’t bump into dozens of local foodies taking video footage on their phones.

Speaking of doughnuts, regulars do indeed rave about their apple cider ones (I left with a bag), the great diner style coffee, and their build your own omelette option.

They’re open for biz on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30am (for the early birds) until 1:30pm.

Find the Farmer’s Omelette on Knight Farm at 1 Snake Hill Road in North Scituate, RI 02857.

As always, if you take a spin over this weekend (again, they are only open on Sat. and Sun.), please let them know you were inspired by Patty J and PattyJ.com.
